PERFORATED WINDOW FILM:
What is Window Perf?
Window Perf is a 145 microns perforated window film which is being used like a poster or a banner. It is one of the thickest perforated films available on the market. Easier to apply and to remove due to better tear resistance, it also reduces sun glare and acts as a heat protection when applied on glass surface. Most importantly, Window Perf may be installed on the inside of the glass-where it is not governed by the sign ordinance.
What benefits do I get using this type of media?
The product allows companies to advertise on their own shop window/glass buildings as well as using transit advertising space such as bus side windows. Perforated Window Film media provides new business opportunities. It creates new advertising space for building owners, transit authorities, etc.
How does it work?
The film is applied on the interior or exterior of a building, shop window or other type of transparent surface. The film is perforated with 1.5 mm (1/16”) holes in 50/50 or 70/30% ratio patterns (70% printable area). The white side facing the exterior can be printed on with various techniques such as digital, screen or flat bed printing to carry a message or advertising.
The black backing facing the interior is designed to provide contrast and good visibility from the inside to the outside. For optimum one-way visibility, lighting should be brighter on the graphics side than on the other (non-imaged) side.
Can I see the holes on the film when printed?
If you are standing close to the film, you can. But the sight ratio from height to distance is
about 70 to 1 which means that a 1.5 mm (1/16”) hole is visible from approximately 3 ½ feet away.
When printed, the eye is attracted to the visual rather than holes and your eyes tend to forget about the holes.
What product should I use and for what type of application?
70/30 perforation pattern is better for close viewing and smaller areas.
50/50 perforation pattern is better for distance viewing and larger areas.
Will perforated film take light away from my shop/office building?
In a natural light environment, light does come from all directions. It will substantially increase the amount of light going into a room.
In fact studies have shown that under normal natural day light conditions, about 70% of the light still goes through Perforated Window Film.
Furthermore, our eyes compensate very quickly to the light or absence of light and will correct automatically.
Will I see outside as well as if there is no film?
Yes you will, even if 50 to 60% of the surface is occulted. Since the holes are evenly spread on the surface, the black contrast will help your eyes to focus automatically at the light source on the outside.
You see with your eyes but also your brain. Since the latter will be able to have the “full
picture” from the outside, it will concentrate on what it sees rather than what it doesn’t see. So you will observe cars, people and general activities on the outside just as well as if there was no film.
Can I use Window Perf on any glass surface?
Some years ago, the glass industry used a metallic UV filter that was applied on glass. This filter can come off easily with the film when you are removing it from the glass.
This is about the only restriction there is. All other uncoated glass is suitable for use.
If the windows have metallic frames, be sure the paint is in good condition. The bond of a good paint to its substrate will always be superior to the bond of the adhesive onto the paint. If not, the paint will stick to the adhesive when you remove the vinyl.
If you apply the film on the emergency window of a train or bus, you should cut the film with a sharp blade about ¼” all around the edges and in both diagonals. The cut will not be noticeable to the eye. It will help the glass break in case of an emergency. Please, always make sure this complies with your local transit authorities and test whenever possible.
Is it easy to remove the film from the glass?
The removable adhesive is easy to use and gentle on glass surface.
Nevertheless, the heat and especially the sun have a negative impact on the adhesive.
Perforated Window Film can be easily removed up to 1 year conditions and 6 months for clean removal.
What shall I do with a perforated print media?
Free yourself from the thought that perforated products have to be stuck on the outside of windows. With POSTERACTION’s Perforated Window Film you are much more flexible as it can also be used inside. It can be used in combination with various display systems, e.g. double sided tapes, stretching frames and other display systems. POSTERACTION’s Perforated Window Film is endlessly flexible, allowing you to take full advantage of your glass doors and windows, turning them into prime advertising space, unrestricted by the signage ordinance. This one-way vision media opens a new world of promotional opportunities. It allows you to maximize your signage with “see- through” posters and banners. Window Perf is simply more advertising space without extra cost and without restrictions.

VEHICLE GRAPHICS:
What kind of vehicles will you wrap?
We will wrap all vehicles from small cars, up to large trucks, and everything in between. This includes RV’s, boats, and trailers.
Do you do truck lettering?
Yes we do.
How long does it take to get a vehicle wrapped?
From start to finish, including design time, a typical vehicle takes 1-2 weeks to complete. We spend a lot of time in the development stages to make sure our designers give you what you want. The actual installation takes 1-2 business days.
Who does the design?
We do! Usually a customer will sit down with our graphic designer and describe what they’re looking for. The customer will then supply us with logos, images, text, etc. and we will put it all together in a package that best matches the vehicle being wrapped. We will not put anything into production until we know our client is happy.
Can the wrap be removed?
Absolutely! Our techs can remove the wrap at any time usually it takes 4-6 hours.
Do I have to wash my vehicle before installation?
Yes, this helps the process quite a lot. Our techs do go over your vehicle and get off all dust and debris, a car wash ahead of time helps this process quite a bit.
Will a vehicle wrap damage the paint on my vehicle?
Absolutely not! Vehicle wraps often help protect paint from minor scratches.
How long will my vehicle wrap last?
Normally a wrap will last up to five years depending on the care and treatment.
How do I care for my vehicle wrap?
Hand washing with soft non-abrasive sponge is the best method. Avoid high pressure washes because that spray can actually tear the vinyl or cause seams to lift. Also, be careful to never use an ice scraper.
What if the company information on my wrap changes, can it be replaced?
Yes. Graphics, logos, and phone numbers (or any part of the design) can be changed, reprinted and re-installed as overlays on the car wrap
Are car wraps applied to windows?
Yes, but only rear side and rear windows. Window wraps are printed on a special perforated vinyl that allows the driver to see through the rear and side rear windows.
What’s the difference between a ½, ¾, and full wrap?
A size of the wrap (Full, ½ or ¼) simply refers to the percentage of the car that is covered by the wrap.
